Street Style London City and SE1. Test Shots Part 2
Some Street Style shots taken last week in the London areas of SE1 around the Southbank area combined with a quick session in the city taking in mainly the EC2 and EC3 postcodes. These are sample TEST shots with a new wide angle zoom lens I got the other week to see if it’s up to the mark in street style terms. This is Lens Test Part 2.
I call these two areas the land of the uniforms. SE1 suffers from tourist uniform syndrome featuring jeans/leggings t shirt and trainers and not much else. The city suffers from the office uniform scenario. Outrageous and head turning is not the way to go in the city.
SO with fashionista spotting being the requirement it was going to be a tough call to find some Camden or Shoreditch/Brick Lane types.
Luckily lady luck was shining down on me after a fruitless 2 hours and nearly falling asleep with boredom “Miss Pink Hair” kick started the proceedings in a violent fashion near London Bridge station followed minutes later by “Miss Tiara” on London Bridge. Included are a few city type sort of fashionistas as that’s what you see in the city.
Still not happy with the results from this lens it’s supposed to be very good and a hard lens to get hold of for that reason. Pictures just look a bit smeary, soft and mushy and kit lens in appearance. Something’s not right here. May need a strip down and clean!
All photos taken with a Canon DSLR and shot from the hip.
