This is the Kensington & Chelsea and Knightsbridge edition. Posh and swanky fashionistas. Covering the areas of South Kensington, Knightsbridge including the Brompton Road and Sloane St and the Harrods area plus an added bonus of some shots taken on the all NEW for FJ Girls, the Kings Road in Chelsea which proved pretty productive. This could become a regular now the weather is finally changing.

This lady above grabs the headline spotted on the Kings Road SW3. She was quite happy to play up for the camera. i never said a word!

Flats, faux fur gilets, shades, hats, pastels, monochrome, flats, blondes, brunettes, bags, denim and much more.

Included a vast array of women here and their responses to me just stopping right in front of them and making a big deal out of taking their photo. Some frowns, some smiles and some the usual London indifference. These make for interesting viewing alone.

Generally the reactions were positive although one cracker did tell me in no uncertain terms to “F@ck Off” which was a bit of a shock on the Kings Road in Chelsea. Is she here? You bet! Not saying which one though!

Still haven’t been slapped yet but trust me it’s on the cards sometime in the future. Or maybe a quick whack over the head with a large heavy lethal handbag.

All photos as per usual are unposed (really hate posed shots with cheesy grins), natual, candid and of the moment. Usual criteria applies to appear on this website. Did they catch my eye 100m down the road, stand out from the crowd and most importantly did they have “SOMETHING GOING ON?”. Maybe they just gave me a nice smile. Either way that’s a snap from me and an appearance at FJ Girls. Must have seen hundreds of also rans that day, so to be here you have to be something special. All shots as far as I can remember were camera to the eye as in viewfinder shots and none shot from the hip!

Brunette Black Short Skirt and Tights Fashionista Knightsbridge SW3 Nokia 635 Mobile

Headline grabber for me was this Brunette above spotted in Knightsbridge wearing something that was more in tune with spring time than the depths of winter it was freezing out there. She had something going on regardless though and she is here.

The area focus in this edition is Knightsbridge including Sloane Street and The Brompton Road plus South Kensington which also produces the posher fashionistas with a sprinkling of Tourists. Post Codes are the swanky SW3 and W8. These photos were taken a couple of days ago when the weather was colder.

You seen to get a different crowd down this area such as the lady above with the worlds leading designer brands in Sloane Street, the big high end Department Stores including Harvey Nicholls and Harrods proving magnets to the well healed and tourists with a bit more money to burn than most. In crowd terms the streets are nowhere near as busy as say Oxford or Regent Street but the proportion of wow factor women seems to be higher.

Knightsbridge Fashionista Brompton Road SW3

Fashion Patrol Part 4 in Central London for January 2015. What’s the vibe on the streets, what’s in, what’s turning heads and who and what’s caught my eye in the last few days.

The photo above is easily the best in this collection in my opinion, I call her the “Knightsbridge Fashionista”.

Story: Saw her coming fast out of Harrods but it was too late and missed the shot muttering the words “That would have been the best of the day”. Took some other shots then packed up for the day but kept the camera ON  “just in case”. She miraculously appeared again coming towards me on the other side of the road FAST, took about 6 frames machine gun style from the hip as she ran across the Brompton Road thinking “If you got that it will be a miracle!”. Result perfect exposure, perfect focus, looking just to the right, what they call in the trade the “decisive moment” a second later the moment was gone never to be seen again! Reminiscent of a classic Richard Avedon shot of Carmen Dell’Orefice minus the umbrella. If I’d put the camera away, would never have got this shot.

The area covered for Part 4 has been extended from the hot spots of Oxford Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden, China Town and Soho to include Portobello Road, South Kensington and Knightsbridge with a dash of Piccadilly to broaden the fashion horizon to see what the fashionistas are up to in these areas as well.

All these shots taken with a Canon DSLR freestyle from the hip. A couple of experimental shots the camera was raised to the eye to see the response and the quality of these shots will of course be technically higher and sharper than the shot from the hip counterparts. Increased quality comes at a price, the candid nature can get killed in the process as is revealed in this borderline photo below here.

In Part 4 we have oriental fashionistas, blonde, brunette, faux fir, monochrome, denim, photogs, big scarves, shawls, big bags and more. Fashionistas stationary, walking or running with no posed shots just candids. Mainly full length and some portrait shots are in the mix.
