Part 2 of the Fashionista Chronicles for March 2015. This is the West End Edition taking in the postcodes of WC2 and W1. Areas focused on include Oxford St and Regent Street, Soho and Covent Garden including the Piazza.

So who is the headline grabber for this edition. There’s always one that stands out head and shoulders above the rest a sort of no contest scenario. The punky green hair fashionista below outside Joe and the Juice in my opinion stole the show on the day. She’s got guts and confidence, I’ll give her that, she would fit in a treat at Camden Market.

Second is the Brunette and all white fashionista with funky wellington boots. I call her the Cool Britannia fashionista. Took her photo, don’t think she even realised then she asked me where the nearest taxi rank was a second later of which I didn’t have the first idea. Luckily a black cab appeared with light on just down the road and I said “there’s your cab”. I don’t think she realised yellow light on means available.

Third fashionista that had an air of mystery is this oriental fashionista with hat and leopard print sneekers outside Selfridges. Another head turner that stood out from the crowd.

Had a run in with one fashionista who asked me “why are you taking my picture?” in an aggressive manner, I replied “It’s for a fashion website”, she replied in a snappy manner “you could at least ask!”. So thinking better delete that one……. only to find she’s grinning like the cat that got the cream in the photo. So she’s here!

What’s happening on the streets of London in street style terms with spring looking to be possibly just round the corner. What are the fashionistas wearing in Central London. This is the West End Edition. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve pounded the streets due to London Fashion Week. Armed with my trusty little cheapo Nokia, the number of fashionistas on the streets has ballooned which is a good sign. The streets were relatively quiet during the Siberian period.

Headline grabber is this shot below, very attractive oriental girl in Pink outside Marble Arch station with some beautiful lighting to set her off. Basically stood in the middle of Oxford Street in front of her before she crossed the road.

Usual fasharazzi procedure just walking around and mingling with the crowds, soaking up the London Street vibe, to see who is looking good and catching my attention, getting within slapping distance and taking my chances and taking a photo and putting them on this website. First posed photo below although I never said a word, couldn’t resist, neither could she……………..it’s a cracker……………not sure about that pink onesie though???!

Hamleys Toy Store Fashionista with Bubble Gun at Regent Street W1

Have been trying some advanced street photography techniques such as walking in the middle of tourists taking pictures of their friends and family with varying results. Trial photo below with the one in yellow thinking “What is this guy doing?”. She couldn’t give me a slap she had a camera in each hand and the handbag is just out of reach, figured that out before I took the shot.

With the weather gradually FINALLY changing so is the clothing and colour and just a hint of flesh flashing seems to be underway. Latest exploits in photo form below all taken in the Soho, Covent Garden and Oxford Street/ Regent Street area.
