Gone with the fashionista above for the headline shot, she was the last photo of the day, saw her 500 metres down the road. Think she saw me and the camera as well. Very simple in colour terms and minimalist but never the less very striking with the flat cap giving it that finishing touch. Very individual and definetly a FASHIONISTA!

Late July and August turns quiet in London with the school holidays. Tourists in abundance and I mean by the coach loads at present but actual fashionistas will prove to be a bit thinner on the ground.

Tuesday was spent in London Fields and Dalston to check out the fashion vibe there to get off the tourist trail in Central London. Just a flying visit and a big fat zero. It’s supposed to be the new place to be, better than Shoreditch, I wasn’t convinced. Maybe I was in the wrong part? Maybe the weekends are better or maybe it rocks more at night when everybody is back from work?

Wednesday went all the way down to Richmond and again zilch. Tried Chiswick on the way back and again nothing. Peckham is another area that is being looked into which is hipsterville at present, amongst others, but at present Central London up to Zone 2 on the Tube Map is where it seems to be. Go beyond that and the dress code is safe and follow the norm and the suburbia look. No earth shattering ground breaking stuff here. The difference was staggering when you arrive back in Knightsbridge, Kensington and Chelsea.

Took about 20 shots on the day but ruthlessly cut it down to 9 to what I would call “fashionistas” on what was a quiet day in “street style” terms. Spent a couple of days floating around South Kensington, The Brompton Road, Harrods, The Kings Road and Sloane St and Sloane Square. Weather was good, loads of sunshine, the Fashionistas were out and about, prime territory for a fasharazzi to get some street style pics.Gone with this photo for the headline but any one of those below would have been just as good. So what’s the vibe on the streets in Knightsbridge, Kensington and Chelsea? To sum up, monochrome, flats, draping is still in, block heels, saw a few stilettos, shades of the coloured mirror variety and distressed denim and leggings with ripped knees. Hats were lacking. Horizontal stripes are cool and abundant. Gilets are still in, Maxi long flowing skirts also seemed to be making an increasing appearance.

This is the Kensington & Chelsea and Knightsbridge edition. Posh and swanky fashionistas. Covering the areas of South Kensington, Knightsbridge including the Brompton Road and Sloane St and the Harrods area plus an added bonus of some shots taken on the all NEW for FJ Girls, the Kings Road in Chelsea which proved pretty productive. This could become a regular now the weather is finally changing.

This lady above grabs the headline spotted on the Kings Road SW3. She was quite happy to play up for the camera. i never said a word!

Flats, faux fur gilets, shades, hats, pastels, monochrome, flats, blondes, brunettes, bags, denim and much more.

Included a vast array of women here and their responses to me just stopping right in front of them and making a big deal out of taking their photo. Some frowns, some smiles and some the usual London indifference. These make for interesting viewing alone.

Generally the reactions were positive although one cracker did tell me in no uncertain terms to “F@ck Off” which was a bit of a shock on the Kings Road in Chelsea. Is she here? You bet! Not saying which one though!

Still haven’t been slapped yet but trust me it’s on the cards sometime in the future. Or maybe a quick whack over the head with a large heavy lethal handbag.

All photos as per usual are unposed (really hate posed shots with cheesy grins), natual, candid and of the moment. Usual criteria applies to appear on this website. Did they catch my eye 100m down the road, stand out from the crowd and most importantly did they have “SOMETHING GOING ON?”. Maybe they just gave me a nice smile. Either way that’s a snap from me and an appearance at FJ Girls. Must have seen hundreds of also rans that day, so to be here you have to be something special. All shots as far as I can remember were camera to the eye as in viewfinder shots and none shot from the hip!
